It gives me, an immense pleasure and ecstasy to unveil the brand new, comprehensive website of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Dehradun Region. This website is a compendium of vibrant reflection of the myriad activities that unfold throughout the year, for fostering the harmonious and holistic development of the future citizens as well as their accomplishment across various domains. Today, education transcends narrow boundaries; it encompasses the depth of knowledge, the cultivation of character, and the integration of personality. KVS has embarked on a pioneering journey, offering limitless infinite opportunities for students to excel and demonstrate their calibre in diverse fields. Ours is an institution grounded in the principles of education and psychology, fostering an environment of secular learning. Educational and co-curricular activities form the cornerstone of our approach. Competitions are organized at various levels, promoting national integration and fostering camaraderie. Recognizing the pivotal role of teachers in shaping the educational landscape, we have a team of highly qualified Principals and Teachers, selected on the basis of national merit. They are deeply committed to their duties and responsibilities, contributing tirelessly to the betterment of society and the nation at large. In addition to their command over their subjects, they remain abreast of the latest advancements in education technology and pedagogy. Ample opportunities are being provided to chisel their knowledge through literary interactions at Vidyalaya level, during subject committee meetings and staff meetings, through orientation and refresher courses and through workshops and seminars conducted at regional and national level It is noteworthy that no tuition fee is levied on students up to class VIII, and girls receive free education up to class XII. Under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, 25% ofseats in class I are reserved and filled up by the children from socially disadvantaged and economically weaker sections of society. Children admitted under RTE act, receive free education up to class-VIII. Through this website, we aim to provide comprehensive information on administration, infrastructure, scholastic and non- scholastic pursuits, as well as the latest events, achievements and accolades. I extent my heartfelt gratitude to Principals, Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff and Students of various KVs running under this Region for their unwavering dedication and commitment, which continues to proudly uphold the flag of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
